Automated trading needs plumbing that can start, stop and monitor many strategies at once. PerpPilot is that plumbing for perpetual futures (contracts that track a crypto price with no end date). The focus here is the software design.
How it works
- Exchange adapters (connectors) translate each exchange's interface into one common format.
- A strategy runner switches individual strategies on and off.
- Strategies run asynchronously (side by side, without waiting on each other).
- The runner keeps statistics for each strategy as it runs.
What I did
I built it solo in Python.
What I learned
Good orchestration makes strategies easy to swap and stop, which frees the hard thinking for the strategies themselves.
