Trading communities usually share ideas in forums and group chats run by a single company. This prototype explored putting profiles, strategies and posts on a public blockchain instead. It stayed an unfinished prototype.
How it works
- Users create profiles and publish trading strategies through smart contracts.
- Post content is stored on IPFS (a shared file network), with only its fingerprint kept on-chain.
- A React frontend connects to the contracts through ethers (a JavaScript library for wallets).
What I did
I built it solo, on top of standard OpenZeppelin contract libraries.
What I learned
Social features are easy to start and take sustained work to finish.
