In plain English
Art styles are easier to understand when you see them applied to something familiar. You upload a photo, pick a style like Van Gogh or Ukiyo-e, and get a reimagined image. An AI tutor then explains what makes that style look the way it does.
How it works
- Upload a photo and choose an art style.
- A vision model describes the photo's content, composition and colors.
- That description and the style's traits become a prompt for an image generator (DALL-E 3).
- The tutor examines the new image and explains how the style was applied.
- Ask follow-up questions about the style in a chat.
What I did
I built it solo as a Streamlit app that connects existing OpenAI image and vision models.
What I learned
The most interesting design problem was the conversation around the image, more than the image model itself.
